Dominos: Losing Focus?

Let’s be honest… I’m a critical person.  I believe in excellence and when I see businesses missing the mark I like to point it out.  Shoot me.

While on our summer vacation to Minnesota we had to stop by and grab some Punch Pizza as all our friends were raving about it.  While Andrea ran into Punch to grab a pie-to-go I waited in the car and happened to park outside this Dominos Pizza right on the University of Minnesota campus.

I couldn’t help but laugh out loud at the signs in the window.  ALL of them are about hiring new employees.  What about the pizza?  Not even 1 sign to promote your NEWLY crafted pizza???

I happened to give the new pizza a try last weekend… I’m impressed.

Lake Miltona

It’s been a great weekend at the family cabin on Lake Miltona outside of Alexandria, MN.
I  got to do some fishing today and caught some sunfish, walleye, & lots of rock bass (gross).
Here’s some pics of Greg & Tim with their catches…

I shot a little video of the beautiful lake Miltona as we were coming in for the day…

Downtown Minneapolis

Andrea & I are spending our summer vacation in Minnesota this year. On our way to the family cabin on Lake Miltona we spent a nice evening downtown Minneapolis.

We stayed at the Graves 601 on Wednesday evening. It a unique hotel right in the heart of Minneapolis. Our room had a great view. (see below)

We had dinner at Seven right near the hotel. It was a real treat to have such a great Porterhouse steak.

We ended the evening at the Dueling Piano bar in Block E.

It’s always nice to spend some time in downtown Minneapolis.

Yogulatte – Downtown Indy

I’m a big fan of a new frozen yogurt shop in downtown Indy… Yogulatte.

yogulatte indianapolis frozen yogurt

It’s a really cool business model.  You get to taste & try the frozen yogurt flavors.  You fill up your own cup, add the toppings, then weigh it for the final price.

They have a lot of great flavors

  • Orage Creme
  • Peanut Butter
  • New York Style Cheese Cake
  • Chocolate
  • Strawberry
  • Vanilla Bean

You can mix & match the flavors.  I went with Orange Cream & Vanilla Bean for a nice relaxing combo!

So, next time you’re in the mood for a nice cool treat you have to check out Yogulatte!

iOS 4

The new iPhone operating system iOS4 is nice and slick. It’s improved the speed of my iPhone 3GS and has drastically helped me get my apps organized!

Church Themez

I love to start businesses/websites.  Sometimes I start them and don’t pay them any attention.  The latest culprit is www.churchthemez.com

This website is meant to be a listing of church wordpress themes for people to find wordpress themes for their church.  I need to update the site with more themes for people to review.  I’m hoping to get to it sometime in the next few weeks.

Father’s Day

It’s been almost 7 years since my dad passed away.  Father’s day doesn’t get any easier.

I can say that I was truly blessed to have 18 years with an amazing father.  He was a wise man with a humble heart.

You are missed dad.
